The Junction Box or underwater node is a facility able to provide multiple wet-mateable connections for various users.
Cabled ocean observatories, but also oil&gas underwater network, required large amounts of power and two-way communication bandwidth for several underwater experiments / systems.
Power distribution system designed in order to provide high reliability. Each output protected from power failure and against faults like over-current, short fault, ground fault, and flooding.
Redundant optical network uses state of the art fiber data communication components in order to improve the reliability and MTBF of the system.
Our solution is able to manage, for each connection 1.000 W of power and Gbit network communication.
